A birthday tea party!

It was my birthday this week. I LOVE birthdays. However often I end up a little disappointed because nothing quite gets organised in time. So this time I took control of the matter and decided birthdays are for celebrating! Seeing it was to be a glorious sunny day I invited a few friends round for tea and cake out in our garden. I fully expected most people to be busy… yet 8 lovely ladies came along, I felt very lucky to have so many amazing friends. We celebrated with a tea party, which was a huge excuse to get out the cake stands I was given for Christmas. Note the plural there? Both my aunts (who are sisters) each gave me a cake stand… which made opening presents amusing. On opening the first one I said something like “Oh a cake stand, perfect, I’ve wanted one for ages” and then 2 came along at one – which means I just am meant to each much cake 😉 Dietitian UK: A birthday tea party wheat and gluten free 1 Having a tea party also meant I could get out a very special tea-set that has been passed down to me. I love it and now I’ve unwrapped it all I shall be keeping it to hand.
